A mammogram is a quick, low-dose X-ray of the breasts. Brief compression is used to capture clear images and may cause some temporary pressure or discomfort.
Bring any previous mammograms, breast imaging or relevant medical records. If possible, schedule your appointment when your breasts are less likely to feel tender.
Your images are reviewed by a radiologist. Radiology reports can be viewed through the Burjeel Health App; results may be available immediately or within a few days, depending on whether further review is needed.
